Development of financing and legislation in сreative industries: Nordic experience
The project “Development of financing and legislation in the creative industries sector”successfully started with a one-week study trip. Fifteen representatives of Russian Federation Ministry of foreign affairs, Government of St. Petersburg, Government of Leningrad region, Institute for cultural programmes, as well as creative industries association, took part in the programme prepared by the project partners in Finland and Denmark.
The activities in Finland organized by the Institute of Russia and Eastern Europe included workshop ”Intellectual property as a tool for economic growth in the Northern Dimension area” and a number of presentations dedicated to the models of seed acceleration and crowd funding. Then the Russian experts got acquainted with the Startup Sauna concept model at the Aalto University.
The programme in Denmark was dedicated to financing in the sphere of creative industries, cluster development, branding, attraction of investments, financial schemes for international cooperation. The host organization – Centre for Cultural and Experience Economy – made a presentation about its participation in the international project FAME (Facilitating Access and Mobilisation of European finance for growth of creative industries) project, as well as in the organization of “Creative Business Cup – 2012” – a competition for entrepreneurs from the creative industries anywhere in the world.
The study trip laid the basis for working out suggestions for development of tools of financing and legislation in the creative industries sector. The next activity of the project will be seminar in Tallinn in spring 2013.
