Pro INNO Europe Annual Partnering Event 2012
PRO INNO Europe® is pleased to announce that its 2012 Annual Partnering Event will take place on 9-12 May in Porto (Portugal). The event will be organised under the title ‘Better practice is not enough – New innovation challenges require new approaches’.
The partnering event will bring together around 100 participants from relevant national, regional and local authorities and public agencies responsible for the promotion or support of innovation and the design of innovation support programmes. The PRO INNO Europe® Partnering Event is a meeting point for projects currently funded under the PRO INNO Europe® initiative and will allow discussion of their result and insights.
2012 PROINNO Annual Partnering Event shall focus on three major themes:
How can industries under stress from global competition transform and re-emerge with enhanced competitiveness? How can the transformations effectively realise existing strengths while mediating a process to abandon what cannot be maintained and overcome the resistance to change from influential incumbents?
Can innovation support continue to focus on small and single enterprises if sectors need transformation? And if not, who should be targeted instead and might this require new formats of support provision?
How could a permanent learning mechanism for better innovation support be established that overcomes the problems of being implemented through projects?
The conference is structured around 4 sessions and will take place in Palacio da Bolsa.
