Global competition Creative Business Cup picks the world`s best creative entrepreneur

The global competition fot creative entrepreneurs, Creative Business Cup, is running national competitions to stimulate revolutionary business ideas and award the world`s best creative entrepreneur.

The creative industries are growing sectors that continue to provide more jobs, and add increasing value to products and services. Moreover, creative industries have a positive spill over effect on more traditional industries improving growth and innovation. These industries hold a great potential but the creative entrepreneurs often lack insights and business competencies needed to redeem this potential. That is why there is a need for a competition such as Creative Business Cup that can improve the business skills and the number of successful companies in the creative industries.

Creative Business Cup is developed by CKO (Denmark) and a Featured Event of Global Entrepreneurship Week, an initiative powered by the Kauffman Foundation. Creative Business Cup has been conducted twice in Denmark before becoming an international entrepreneurship competition.

The purpose of Creative Business Cup is to strengthen the business competencies of creative entrepreneurs. Through participating in the competition each entrepreneur should increase their ability to successfully start up a company based on their creative competencies.

The competition is looking for new and revolutionary business ideas stemming from the creative industries. The business idea must have a strong market potential and at least one of the people in the management team must have an education or background from the creative industries.

The setup of the global competition is that the winner from each country competes against other national winners in November 2012 at the Global Award Show in Copenhagen, Denmark.

To participate in Creative Business Cup, your business plan through a national competition. If you win Creative Business Cup in your country you will journey to Copenhagen, Denmark to compete aginst other national winners to become the world’s best entrepreneur from the creative industries.

Countries arranging Creative Business Cup are Denmark, Italy, Netherlands, Brazil, Canada, Malaysia, Japan, Iceland, Germany, Portugal, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Barbados, Estonia, Latvia.

In Estonia, the winner of national Creative Business Cup competition is selected by Creative Estonia amongst the finalists of the greatest competition fot entrepreneurs Ajujaht. The winner will be announced at the Ajujaht Award Gala on the 10th of May 2012.
