Tallinn launch of World Design Capital Helsinki
The Embassy of Finland would like to invite you to the Tallinn launch of World Design Capital Helsinki 2012 on Thursday, March 1st at 4.00 p.m.
Every second year, The World Design Capital nomination is given to one city that is leveraging design as a tool to improve the social, cultural, and economic lives of their residents. In 2012 Helsinki together with Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen and Lahti is the World Design Capital. The theme for the year is Open Helsinki – Embedding Design in Life.
On March 1st Executive Director Pekka Timonen will give an overview of the WDC Helsinki 2012 programme. In addition, Finnish designers will be present to speak about their work and meet the local design field.
The Finnish designers present at the Embassy will be:
